MAYDAY jump concert 2008

phewwwww.... what an exhausting weekend... i went to genting with KC , Kean Ping and Ah Beh to watch mayday jump concert last saturday... it was planned since february or march if i have not mistaken...

so what was the plan??? take a bus all the way from pudu to genting on 19th april just to watch mayday... and ?? stay at genting overnight without a room.... it was not as easy as it seemed to be... haha..... we had a hard time waiting for the next day.... nevertheless, the concert was HOT!!! lol...... we got so high and the atmosphere there was marvellous... worth watching....

Mc D was our first destination.. lol..managed to spend about 2 hours there... then we moved to the island in the first world indoor theme park.... spent another few hours there playing "2big" before KC and i decided to go into the casino... well, gambling is a no no for us... so we just grabbed a cup of FREE coffee...lol...then proceeded to see how those aunties and uncles lose money to uncle Lim.... :P after that?? we went home of course... tired tired and great trip!!!

professionalism...

professionalism...... what is so great about it? IMU kept on stressing being professional is important as a member of the health care service.. But i wonder how professional can a person be??

it was during the organic chemistry practical on monday when i really got fed up..... i doubt everyone is practising professionalism here... the results of the experiment are just too subjective... most of the time u will not get the results that u have predicted... weird huh?? although u have prepared the solution exactly as what it was stated in the practical manual, most of the time, i can say, u will never get the result... :) so... in this case, what a 'professional' student will do??? be professional by stating the negative observation that we got and get a big 0 for the reports or cheating ourself by putting in all the theories that we have memorised??

dilemma huh???? one might just be professional enough to answer according to what she observed... although she knows her answer is totally wrong... but what if most of the time you never get the predicted results??? another big question mark..........

some might say the way we conduct the experiments are wrong... but errors are inevitable.... even lecturers might not get the expected results.... what say you??

so... professionalism..... haha.... i do practise professionalism, honestly....but some of the time professionalism is not everything....

i know i might get into the hot soup posting this blog.... :P no offence... just want to voice out my opinions...... cheers....

last sunday, some of the B107 students ( including me of course :P ) volunteered for IMU open day while many others stayed away... :) well.. what's their reason for not participating??? "no time ar" , " lazy la " ..... some quotes from my friends.... hehe... don't be offended...

anyway, i don't think it's a waste spending the whole day there... quite exhausting though but i learnt a lot.. i am sure others who volunteered will feel the same too...

when u become a tourist in your hometown....

how's the feeling of being a tourist of your own hometown?? sounds weird but true.. sometimes we just don't bother to visit places in our own area.. we tend to visit places far away such as australia or china but when it comes to places like in our hometown we just don't bother to know them.. well, i did visit those interesting places in my hometown but only once in a blue moon... lol... just last week, i have the chance of 'revisiting' those place again when four friends from west malaysia visited sarawak....

really had a memorable holiday here in my hometown, kuching... bringing them around kuching was just as fun as travelling in other states.........

-laksamana cheng ho statue in friendship park, kuching-

we visited lots of places, thanks to the marvellous weather... from city to wildlife centres... here, we have things that you cannot see in other places.... such as???

-the big creature here, orang utan-

-how lovely the orang utan were-

we also manage to allocate some time for this fort... well, sad to see that it is not well maintained.. seems like it's neglected but it still stands tough...

-fort margerita-

beside the fort is sarawak's new DUN..... located just opposite waterfront , i guess it will be the next landmark of kuching...

-new DUN-

and here is the famous drink from kuching, the layered teh c peng.... innovation just never stop... haha.....

-5 layer teh c peng-

-waterfront-

we didn't spare the library as well....

-sarawak state library-

-the oldest car i can find in kuching, was wondering whether it can still move-

-a temple in muara tebas-

kuching is just a place like no other........... although we are lagging far behind bigger cities like KL and penang , kuching is a place where u wouldn't want to miss... :P i love kuching...

really had an enjoyable holiday.... hope to travel with u guys again soon...

bye 2007 , hi 2008

only a few hours to the year 2008 now.... :P so, am i happy?? sad?? not really lar.. still the same.. ntg changes except being 1 year older.. so lets recap what i had gone through in the year 2007....

happy onesssss:
1)i was freed from smk bandar kuching no.2 yippppppieeee... my happiest thing of the year..
2)passed my STPM
3)gained some working experience
4)managed to get into IMU to study pharmacy and meet the B107 gang
5)to still have all my friends and relatives beside me...

sad onesssss:
1)stupid gov gave me stupid course for IPTA... hehe... don't be offended
2)didn't get anything after suffering in form 6
3)two of my schoolmates that i know passed away

ok lar... not too many i guess...

that's roughly what i had gone through in 2007....

hopefully 2008 brings luck to me and all of us...

holiday holiday....

holiday is going to end soon... so what is the major 'achievement' for me this holiday....?? I went fishing and this was my FIRST...excluding those where i followed my cousin to go 'play play'.... haha... but seriously, this time is also a 'play play' one... destination??? Rambungan jetty somewhere past Matang,Kuching...

kenny was the culprit behind all this... and with his assistant , mr jacky aka big butt we managed to persuade yi chee to drive his pajero... hiakssss... and here we go....

-preparing and yet i dunno anything-
-my sifu kenny, although he didn't catch any fish that day-
-three monkeys from city-
-chit chatting with jacky hopping to dig out some secrets-

so...... after spending around 3 to 4 hours at the jetty....guess how many fish we got?? NONE..... hahahhaa.. expected d lar... why??? ok here are some of the quotes from the experienced one... "huh??this time ar?? go jetty lepak ar?" , "siao la u, mana got fish now" and last one "ok lor, go sit sit choy choy hong lor ( in hokkien ).... so they are right... hahha.....

at least we got something there.... what?? got scolded by fellow 'lepaking' mates up there.. haha... we threw fruits into the river... that's why... wakakakakakaa...... u deserve it... haha...
