Finally the E.. M.. O.. post..

I am going to sound a bit Chia Hui in this post.. a bit emo plus a bit of self-motivation... no offence, Chia Hui..

This week had been a fruitful week for me.. It is not about how much i have studied or how many portfolios i have completed.. I believe there is no reason to celebrate completing three portfolios when others are finishing their fifth and starting first lecture of GIT when others are near finishing? But yes.. There are things that i can be happy with...

First, the bathroom has finally been fixed.. I am glad it has, after battling with this problem for about a year.. Things did not come easy for me.. Negotiations after negotiations were made before this and finally, after two semesters, the problem had finally come to an end... When there is no leakage, my room will not be too moist and when my room is dry there will be no fungus.. Hopefully.. And this means that i have achieved my first new year resolution; to stay in a fungus-free room..

Saturday morning, we did a poster as part of the HIV portfolio.. Ten of us, altogether, woke up when most of the others were still sleeping.. 8am on a bright saturday morning, we gathered and put our hands together to complete the poster on HIV.. Though it only stands 2.5 marks, it is worth the hardwork.. In the midst of exams, portfolios, and pbls, we can hardly work together like this... i really treasure the moment.. These are things we don't learn from books..

Sunday, i did something which guys normally don't do... I took the trouble to 'repair' my tie.. It was a bit crooked before this as some inner parts had got folded... If u think it is easy to stitch a tie with silky material, think twice.. It was not easy and it really tested my patience... Some might think it is a bit too sissy for a guy to do this but i choose to give it a try.. Again, this is what you don't learn in uni..

These are not big achievements, in fact far from what we all have wanted to achieve.. To be a successful pharmacist who owns Guardian?? Watson?? Staying in a big bungalow?? Driving 7 series?? No harm to start with small achievements.. Slowly.... We will start achieving big ones....

Responding to KC's emo post.. yes.. emo post.. I have to agree with him that most of us set a target merely for the sake of setting a target.. And when we don't really understand what it is, i would rather say 'just forget about the dream'... From my very own opinion, i think that knowledge and opportunities are out there for us to grap.. We cannot be dependent on others, at least not always.. When KC quoted "Our education system is such a big failure as we never incorporate the element of financial management", i would say, 'Why must we depend merely on the education system?'.. We are in the learning process every single second, not only in the school.. If we think that we need additional knowledge not from the school, go for it.. i am sure there are bunch of books out there.. i am sure there are successful ones who are willing to guide us..
